Roanoke, VA

Renovation of the Jefferson High School (built circa 1923) created a multi-use facility with space for government offices, social services, the symphony, opera, and private sector organizations.

Extensive demolition and some structural changes were required for ADA compliance. The main entrance was relocated to the rear of the building which required an addition to match the front in style.

A staircase was added to lead to the atrium from the new entrance. Oak paneling in the atrium reaches several stories to skylights located in the center of the room to provide a more spacious atmosphere. 100,000 SF.
